Rakshabandhan signifies deep a love between brothers and sisters under the umbrella of protection.
This Hindu culture has been followed for years. On this auspicious day, sisters tie a rakhi to their brothers wishing for their good health throughout life. In turn, the brothers protect their sisters no matter what.
It is a very special day. With just a string on the wrist, we tie a deep bond and connection. We pay back by our loving sisters by promising to take care of them, and protect them. This shows a true bond that can never be broken.
We celebrate rakshabandan based on a celebrated story. Once Lord Krishna was bleeding on his hand, then Draupadi took a piece of her cloth and tied it to his wound. When the Kauravas were abusing Draupadi by undressing her, then Lord Krishna helped her protecting her as her brother. This story tells us the true meaning of Rakshabandan.
Happy Rakshabandhan!
