A very good morning to our respected Principal Dr. Bhubaneswori Rao; Vice Principal Mr. Ramchandra Khanal; CAO Mrs. Vijaya Tatar; coordinators, house in-charges, teachers, juniors, and my dear friends.
I am from Kanchenjunga House, standing before you as a candidate for the position of Head Girl. Wait — did I just say Head Girl? That wasn’t on my list, but I am truly grateful for this opportunity.
So, what does it really mean to be a Head Girl? It’s not easy to capture the essence of this role. A Head Girl serves as a bridge between teachers and the student body—and as we all know, a bridge must be strong and reliable. Communication skills, compassion, attentive listening, diligence, and honesty are the qualities that make a deserving Head Girl. Through my involvement in academics and extracurricular activities, I believe I have nurtured these qualities within myself.
I have been actively engaged in writing and publishing. At my previous school, my articles were selected for the school magazine. Last year, I was part of the English Publication Team, and my work was published in The Himalayan Times. I also had the honor of speaking at the farewell program. Beyond academics, I have pursued dance for nearly ten years. Dance is my way of expressing myself—and let’s be honest, who doesn’t enjoy dancing?
To be a Head Girl is more than just leading. It means being understanding, realizing that true communication begins with listening, and above all, remaining humble. Leadership is often seen as serving others, but it also shapes the person who holds the position.
If given the honor to serve as Head Girl, I promise to carry out my responsibilities with sincerity, dedication, and full commitment.
This was a brief introduction of myself. If you believe I am a deserving candidate, I would be deeply grateful for your support and your votes.
Thank you!
