Friendship is the purest form of love. Friendships form an their own and cannot be forced. However, it cannot be one sided; both sides have to be honest and trustworthy for the friendship to thrive. It can be formed with the most unexpected people, be it your neighbour, or a girl at your school or someone you never come across often, or the stray dog or cat that roams in and around your neighbourhood.
Real friendships, are thus made when both sides trust and can count on each other, are there for one another through all the highs and lows, through the thick and thin of life etc. These bonds get stronger over time and stay that way. Real friends will be by your side, helping you through hard times, share their joys and sorrows with you and they are happy when you are happy.
If friendship is strong, it will usually last forever. But it happens only in some cases. Some friendships thus fade away and you become strangers again.
The journey of friendship shows you the people who stay and the ones who go away. It is the art of learning to let go of those who are not your people and own those who stay with you.
Friendship is a most beautiful thing that happens to you if it is real.
