Not every Rakhi wraps a wrist
Not every bond is seen or kissed
Some threads are spun in silent care,
In midnight talks and whispered prayer.
A brother’s love may wear no crown
But lifts you up when life weighs down
And siter’s soft yet fierce and wise
Guard dreams behind their quiet eyes.
They quarrel, laugh then drift then cling
Each moment tied with an invisible string
No distance, silence, time or place
Can loosen what their hearts’ embrace.
For Raksha Bandhan is not just a day
It’s how they show up, come what may.
A vow not spoken btu deeply known
You’re never truly on your own.
So here’s to bonds that never fade,
Not built of silk but love well laid
Between protector and protected too
Sometimes she shields him, not just he
Shields her.
