Third Event of Sushil Kedia Memorial Sports Gala, 2026: 3rd Inter-School Badminton Tournament

The Physical Education and Sports Department of DAV School organised the 3rd Sushil Kedia Memorial Inter-School Badminton Tournament to commemorate the 60th birth anniversary of Late Shree Sushil Kedia on the school premises on 22nd and 23rd August 2026.
The tournament saw the participation of 11 schools, including DAV School. The tournament was officiated by referee Mr. Sumit Shakya, who was supported by a team of four umpires, all associated with the National Sports Council.
The tournament was conducted separately for boys and girls in different age groups, with both singles and doubles categories. All participating schools demonstrated commendable performances, with several securing winning positions and being honoured with trophies, medals and merit certificates in one or more categories.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of the Nepal Armed Police Force, Mr. Ramesh Pandey, in the presence of Mr. Ramchandra Khanal and Senior School Co-ordinator Mr. Tank Meghji Devji honoured the winners immediately after the final match on futsal ground.
As per the overall results, Nepal Police School bagged the prestigious Championship Trophy of the 3rd Sushil Kedia Memorial Inter-School Badminton Tournament 2026. St. Mary’s School secured the 1st Runner-up position, while Galaxy Public School finished as the 2nd Runner-up. The winning schools received trophies, medals and merit certificates.
Individual awards were also presented to deserving players. Sara Shrestha from DAV School won the Rising Player Award in the girls’ category, while Rirabha Chaudhary from St. Xavier’s School received the Rising Player Award in the boys’ category.
