The First International Indo-Nepal Football Championship Began at DAV SKVB School

The first International Indo–Nepal Football Championship began on 10th February, 2026 (Tuesday) at the DAV School premises in Jawalakhel.
Organized by DAV School on the occasion of the 202nd birth anniversary of Swami Dayanand Saraswati, the tournament features participation from eight football academies and clubs from Nepal and India.
On the opening day, Group ‘A’ matches were completed. After the group-stage games, Jawalakhel Youth Club emerged as group winners and advanced to the semifinals, while Kathmandu Kickers finished as runners-up.
In the first Group ‘A’ match, Holivision Football Academy defeated DAV Sports Academy 3–0. In the second match, Jawalakhel Youth Club beat Kathmandu Kickers 3–1.
The third match between Holivision Football Academy and Jawalakhel Youth Club ended in a 3–3 draw. In the fourth match, Kathmandu Kickers defeated DAV Sports Academy 4–3.
Similarly, in the fifth match, Kathmandu Kickers recorded a convincing 5–1 victory over Holivision. In the final group-stage match, Jawalakhel Youth Club defeated DAV 5–1 to secure the top position in the group.
The tournament, which runs until 12th February, includes organizer DAV Sports Academy along with Bolpur Town Club (West Bengal, India), Holivision Football Academy, Kathmandu Kickers Football Academy, Jawalakhel Youth Club, Mario Grassroots Club, AG-10 Football Academy, and Dilip Memorial Football Academy.
According to the organizers, cash prizes will be awarded to the winners. The championship has been organized with the objective of strengthening football ties between India and Nepal, as well as providing young players with international competitive experience.
