Shlokas Chanting Competition for Grade IX and X Students

Janardan Sanskrit Club organised a Shlokas Chanting Competition for Grade IX and X students in Jetavan Hall on 11th May, 2026. A total of 28 students participated in the competition in groups.
According to Club In-charge Ms. Santakumari Thapa Magar, the objective of the competition was to enhance students’ knowledge of Sanskrit verses and hymns while improving their clarity of pronunciation. The event also aimed to strengthen students’ memory and help them develop mastery in Strotram knowledge.
The competition was judged by Mr. Niranjan Khatiwada and Mr. Shambhu Rijal. Mr. Purushottam Rijal, Head of the Sanskrit Department, and Mr. Purushottam Pokharel, Head of the Hindi Department were also present to observe and encourage the participants.
The winners were announced immediately after the competition and will be honoured with merit certificates in due course.
