Pragya and Stuti Bring Laurels to DAV School in Chess

Pragya Panta of Grade X and Stuti Rasaily of Grade IX once again brought recognition to DAV SKVB School through their exceptional strategic skills and commendable sportsmanship in chess.
Pragya secured 4th position in the Under-17 Girls category, while Stuti achieved 7th position in the Under-13 Girls category at the Trungram International Inter-School Chess Championship, held at Trungram International Academy from 3rd to 5th December, 2025. The championship witnessed the participation of around 500 players from Nepal and abroad.
DAV SKVB School was represented by twelve students, who competed across various age categories. In the Under-10 category, Satvik Acharya participated in the boys’ section and Adhira Paudel in the girls’ section. The Under-13 category included Sauryal Thapa, Kaivalya Panta, and Anvit Sunar in the boys’ section, while Sherolene Rana Magar, Tezila Maharjan, and Stuti Rasaily represented the girls. In the Under-17 category, Harshvardan Rathi and Nirab Shrestha competed in the boys’ section, and Aarohi Thapa along with Pragya Panta represented the girls.
The winners were honoured with medals and certificates at the conclusion of the championship, and all participants received certificates of participation.
The successful participation of DAV SKVB students was made possible through the initiative of the Sports Department, in collaboration with Mr. Shyam Lal Das, Middle School Mathematics Teacher.
