Parental Involvement Team Organises ‘Me and My Profession’ Session for Grade IX and X Students

The Parental Involvement Team organised an interactive session titled ‘Me and My Profession’ for Grade IX and X students on September 18, 2026, in Indu Hall, Indu Sadan.
The programme began with a warm welcome to the guest parents by Mr. Ramchandra Khanal and Senior School Co-ordinator Mr. Tank Meghji Devji.
The session aimed to introduce students to different career opportunities and help them understand the education, skills, dedication, continuity, and discipline needed for professional success. The speakers also encouraged students to take their school education seriously, as a strong foundation in school can help them achieve their future career goals.
The programme featured two guest speakers from the fields of medicine and public health. Dr. Dhiraj Narayan Manandhar, father of Shreyashri Manandhar of Grade IX C, is a Consultant Physician and Nephrologists practicing at NMC, Medicity, and Om Hospital. He shared valuable insights from his experience in medical practice, research, and postgraduate medical education.
Similarly, Dr. Gajananda Bhandari, father of Aashir Bhandari of Grade X I, shared his experience in public health. With more than 25 years of experience in health systems, epidemiology, and programme management across South Asia, he spoke about his work with organisations including USAID, UKAid, and WHO. He currently serves as a Programme Specialist at UNDP, managing the Global Fund Programme in Nepal for Tuberculosis, HIV, and Malaria.
The interactive session was a wonderful opportunity to learn directly from experienced professionals and understand the connection between school education and future careers.
