Panchakundiya Vidya Subharambha Havan Marks the Auspicious Commencement of the Academic Session 2026–27
Date: May 5th, 2026
The Sanskrit Department of DAVSKVB School solemnly organised the Panchakundiya Vidya Subharambha Havan to mark the auspicious beginning of the Academic Session 2026–27 at Indu Sadan and Shankar Sadan on April 30.
For over three decades, this sacred Havan tradition has remained an integral part of the school’s Vedic and Sanskrit-based educational ethos, reflecting its enduring commitment to value-based learning.
The Principal, Dr. Bhubaneswari Rao in the presence of CAO Ms. Vijaya Tater, graced the occasion as the Chief Yajaman of the Havan ceremony. Students from Grades VII to XII participated in the rituals at Indu Hall, while students from Kindergarten to Grade IV offered their prayers at Pratik Hall. Students of Grades V and VI performed the sacred rituals in front of Buddha Hall, ensuring inclusive participation across all sections of the school.
The institution’s founding vision, inspired by the late Shankar Lal Kedia, continues to resonate through such initiatives. His firm belief in harmonising Vedic values with modern education aimed at preparing young minds to thrive in an increasingly globalised world.
The rituals were conducted with utmost sanctity by the Head of the Sanskrit Department, Mr. Purushottam Rijal, along with the Sanskrit faculty, in accordance with the traditions of the Rigveda and Shukla Yajurveda, following the principles of Arya Samaj as propounded by Maharshi Dayananda Saraswati. The ceremony was further enriched by devotional hymns presented by students of the Natikaji Music Club and members of the Music Department under the guidance of Mr. Jay Shreevastav, adding a serene and uplifting musical ambience to the occasion.
Students and teachers participated wholeheartedly in the sacred proceedings under the guidance of the Principal and learned pundits. The timeless teachings and reformative vision of Maharshi Dayananda Saraswati continue to inspire and shape the spiritual and educational fabric of DAV institutions worldwide.
In her concluding address, the Principal, Dr. Bhubaneswari Rao, extended her heartfelt blessings to all students for their future endeavours and commended the dedicated efforts of the Sanskrit Department, teachers, and staff involved in the successful organisation of the programme.
She emphasised that the Vidya Subharambha Havan symbolises the beginning of a new chapter in the lives of students and encouraged them to script this journey with integrity, compassion, dedication, and a spirit of selfless service. Urging both students and teachers to aspire towards excellence, she motivated them to set lofty goals, achieve remarkable milestones, and create a legacy of accomplishments that would inspire generations to come. She expressed her sincere hope of witnessing students usher in a golden era in their lives through perseverance and noble pursuits.
