Outstanding Achievement by DAV Taekwondo Players at the 6th Open Kathmandu District Level EMILE Taekwondo Championship 2025

A team of thirteen students from DAV delivered a truly commendable performance at the 6th Open Kathmandu District Level EMILE Taekwondo Championship 2025, held on 20th December at Om Shanti Chowk, Shantinagar, Kathmandu. The championship was organised by Emile Taekwondo Dojang under the aegis of Emile Academy International.
Demonstrating exceptional skill, discipline and sportsmanship, DAV team secured an impressive tally of 15 medals, comprising five gold, four silver and six bronze medals.
In the gold medal category, Agrim Budhathoki, Tanishqa Shah and Akshunna Rai achieved first place in Poomsae, while Aaradhay Khadka and Garima Pun also clinched gold medals in their respective events. Silver medals were earned by Akshunna Rai in Kyorugi (fight), along with Aangsuk Lama, Asmina K.C. and Maruti Jha. The bronze medals were claimed by Agrim Budhathoki and Tanishqa Shah in Kyorugi, as well as Pragya Sibakoti, Prayan Sibakoti, Ojashwi Dangol and Scarlet Dangol.
In addition, Jehan Man Joshi, a student of DAV representing Dhalko Taekwondo Dojang also won the Silver Medal.
This remarkable medal haul stands as a testament to the students’ dedication, rigorous training and unwavering commitment to excellence. Their outstanding achievement has brought great pride to the institution and serves as a source of inspiration for aspiring taekwondo athletes.
