Orientation on Adolescent Health for Grade V and VI Students

The Department of Health and Physical Education (H.P.E) organised an orientation programme on Adolescent Health for the students of Grade V and VI on December 18.
The session was conducted by a team of experienced resource persons from the Community Based Reproductive Health Care and Counseling Centre (CBRHCC), Kirtipur. The guest speakers included Dr. Nafisa Malla, Dr. Tara Shakya, Ms. Maushami Maharjan, Ms. Kamala Maharjan and Ms. Mandira Maharjan.
On behalf of the School Management, Vice-principal Mr. Ramchandra Khanal alongside Middle School Co-ordinator Mr. Krishna Joshi extended warm receptions to all the guests.
The orientation programme was held separately for the boys and girls. The boys attended the session in Jetavan Hall and girls participated in Pratik Hall.
The speakers explained the topics in a clear, sensitive and student-friendly manner, encouraging open discussion and addressing students’ queries with care and confidence. The programme helped students develop a better understanding of personal health, hygiene and body changes, thereby promoting positive attitudes and healthy practices.
The orientation was informative and well received by the students, contributing meaningfully to their overall health education and personal development.
The sole objective of the orientation programme was to create awareness and provide age-appropriate, scientific information on natural, physical and emotional changes experienced during adolescence.
The programme was co-ordinated by Ms. Anu Bajracharya, H.P.E Teacher, Middle School.
