One-Day Workshop for Language and Social Studies Teachers Held at DAV School

DAV School Management, in collaboration with the Language Department and Neema Publication, Kathmandu, successfully organised a one-day workshop for teachers of Nepali, Sanskrit, Hindi and Social Studies on 12th January, 2026. The programme was held at Pratik Hall, DAV School, Primary Block, with the objective of “Empowering Teachers for Progressive Education.”
On behalf of the School Management, Senior School Co-ordinator Mr. Tank Meghji Devji extended a warm welcome to the trainers at the school. The workshop witnessed the active participation of 17 teachers from the Nepali Department, 16 from the Social Studies Department, 6 from the Sanskrit Department and 5 from the Hindi Department.
The training sessions were led by Prof. Dr. Lekh Prasad Niraula for the Nepali, Sanskrit and Hindi departments on the theme “New Trends in Language Teaching.” The Social Studies session was conducted by author Mr. Man Bahadur Sunar, who focused on enhanced skill development, effective writing, map skills and strategies for scoring better marks in examinations.
The programme was moderated by Sanskrit HOD Mr. Purushottam Rijal. The training session was introduced by Nepali HOD Mr. Narayan Khatiwada, who highlighted that the workshop was a regular annual initiative of DAV School for language teachers. He emphasised the importance of such training programmes conducted in collaboration with publication houses and authors, as they help connect teachers directly with the authors of the prescribed textbooks. He also presented the detailed schedule of the programme and proposed the vote of thanks to the trainers, school management and all participants.
The workshop was structured into three sessions: the opening session, the training session and the closing session. Mr. Deepak Saud, Marketing Officer of Neema Publication, efficiently co-ordinated the entire programme.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the trainers awarded Certificates of Achievement to all participating teachers in the presence of Senior School Co-ordinator, marking a successful and enriching professional development programme.
