One-Day Workshop and Training for Senior School's Teacher

DAV School successfully organised a one-day Workshop and Training for Senior School's teachers in Pratik Hall on January 7. The objective of the training was to enhance pedagogical competencies and effective classroom practices.
The programme began with a welcome address by Ms. Aasha Khadka, HOD English, who warmly greeted the resource person Dr. Laxman Gnawali , Professor at Kathmandu University and President of NELTA (Nepal English Language Teachers’ Association)and participants. Vice-principal Mr. Ramchandra Khanal in the presence of Senior School Co-ordinator Mr. Tank Meghji Devji, extended a warm reception to the resource person.
The session focused on effective teaching strategies with special emphasis on Bloom’s Revised Taxonomy, highlighting its role in planning lessons, framing learning objectives, designing assessments, and promoting higher-order thinking skills among students.
The workshop was interactive and informative, providing teachers with practical insights into applying Bloom’s Taxonomy across different levels of learning—from remembering and understanding to analysing, evaluating, and creating. The session was well received by the participants and proved to be a meaningful step towards professional development.
Following the training, all participants were awarded certificates by the resource person in the presence of the school authorities.
