One-Day Anapana Meditation Camp for Grade XI Students at Nepal Vipassana Meditation Centre, Budhanilkantha

Date: Jan 29th, 2026

DAV School Management, in collaboration with Nepal Vipassana Meditation Centre, Dharmashringa, Budhanilkantha, organised a One-Day Anapana Meditation Camp for the students of Grade XI (Science and Commerce) on 27 January 2026 at Nepal Vipassana Meditation Centre, Muhanpokhari, Budhanilkantha.
A total of 106 students, comprising 59 boys and 47 girls, participated in the camp and were accompanied by a team of 11 senior school teachers. The meditation camp was conducted by Mr. Roshan KC (CCT).
The camp aimed to enhance students’ concentration, mental alertness, self-confidence, and memory—key attributes for improved academic performance. Anapana Meditation emphasises mindful awareness of natural inhalation and exhalation, without imagination or control, thereby helping students develop inner calm and sustained focus.
The students departed from the school at 7:45 a.m. and returned after the completion of the session. Lunch was provided to all participants at the meditation centre premises.
Participation in the camp was made compulsory for all Grade XI students, underlining the school’s commitment to mental well-being and holistic development. The initiative was well received, and the School Management expressed its sincere appreciation to the Nepal Vipassana Meditation Centre, Budhanilkantha, for their co-operation and support in making the programme a grand success.
Following the same initiative, a one-day meditation camp for Grade IX students has been scheduled at the same venue today and tomorrow.
