Muffins With Mother 2026/27: Chairperson Inspires Mothers to Socialize Children’s Full Potential
Date: Jul 15th, 2026
The first edition of 'Muffins with Mother' program for the academic session 2026/27 was celebrated at the school premises today(15th July, 2026).
The primary objective of the initiative is to bridge the gap between home and school, allowing mothers to witness the school’s educational environment firsthand. The program has become a cornerstone event, reinforcing to students that both their home and school share a unified goal: nurturing them into well-rounded individuals who are intellectually strong, morally sound, and socially disciplined.
DAV Chairperson Shree Anil Kedia and Principal Dr. Bhubaneswari Rao alongside administrative team, HODs, and faculty extended a warm, heartfelt welcome to all the invited mothers.
As part of the day's activities, representative mothers from Kindergarten through Grade XII visited their children's classrooms. During these 30-to-45-minute sessions, some mothers shared impactful life experiences and moral lessons, while others engaged in interactive discussions, offering students a unique and memorable learning experience. The mothers also distributed delicious homemade snacks and sweets, which they shared joyfully with the children.
Following the classroom sessions, the mothers attended a special assembly held in their honour. In the presence of the school leadership, each mother was lovingly honored with a Khada and a token of appreciation presented by students and teachers. The formal session concluded with the distribution of muffins and refreshments to all.
Addressing the gathering, DAV Chairperson Shree Anil Kedia welcomed the mothers and highlighted 'Muffins with Mother' as the Star program of DAV School.
He emphasized the pivotal role mothers play in shaping a child's character and values, noting that a mother serves multiple roles—safeguarding, nurturing, and guiding her child to put their best foot forward in society. Revered as the ultimate source of creation, he inspired mothers to help their children socialize to their full potential so they can truly understand life. Noting that today’s youth can often be emotionally fragile, he motivated mothers to build resilience in their children by keeping them connected to the values of the extended family system. Furthermore, he cautioned against the addictive nature of smartphones and social media, comparing them to drugs, and advised mothers to take precautions against their excessive, meaningless use.
Adding to the celebratory atmosphere, Music Department teachers and students from the Natikaji Music Club performed heartfelt songs dedicated to the mothers, creating a truly memorable experience.
