Me and My Profession: Inspiring Future Pathways with Guest Parents

Date: Aug 18th, 2026

DAV School organized a series of "Me and My Profession" talk programs on August 12 and 13 for the students of Grade V through VIII.
Led by the Parental Involvement Team, this initiative aimed to inspire students by providing them with valuable exposure to a diverse array of careers. Through interactive sessions with guest speakers—who are all proud DAV parents—students gained deeper insights into the essential skills, academic qualifications, and unwavering dedication required to succeed in various professional fields.
The two-day event commenced on August 12 with dedicated sessions for Grade V and VI. Grade V students engaged with Ms. Pratibha Silwal, a professional nurse, who served as their guest resource person, while Grade VI students gained valuable perspectives from Dr. Sharada Khanal, an Ayurveda doctor.
The momentum continued on August 13 for the older cohorts. Ms. Katina Maharjan, a university lecturer associated with both Tribhuvan University and Kathmandu University, addressed the Grade VII audience. Following a similar theme, Mr. Rabin Muni Bajracharya, an experienced educator, shared his insights with the students of Grade VIII.
Throughout the event, guest speakers were warmly welcomed by Middle School Coordinator Mr. Krishna Joshi. The interactive sessions were enriched with engaging games, lively Q&A exchanges between the guests and students, and uplifting motivational advice that encouraged academic consistency and positive habits. In turn, the visiting parents commended DAV School for creating such an inspiring platform and expressed their sincere hope that the impactful program would continue in the years to come.
