Good Luck Hawan for Grade X CBSE Students

The Sanskrit Department of DAV SKVB School organised a sacred Good Luck Hawan for the Grade X CBSE board appearing students in the gracious presence of Vice-principal Mr. Ramchandra Khanal in Indu Hall on February 2.
The ceremony was conducted by Mr. Purushottam Rijal, Head of the Sanskrit Department, and Mr. Niranjan Khatiwada, In-charge of the Janardan Sanskrit Club. Vice-principal served as the main Yazaman for the Good Luck Hawan.
The Hawan commenced with the chanting of Om Mantra and Gayatri Mantra, followed by Swasti Baachan, Agnay Daan, Shanti Path, and other traditional rituals. Mr. Rijal, the Pundit of the Yagya, highlighted that Hawan is one of the noblest human endeavours, performed to extend blessings during significant phases of life.
Addressing the students, Vice-principal Mr. Ramchandra Khanal emphasised that DAV School upholds the ideals of Dayananda Saraswati and Eastern philosophy. He explained that Dayananda Saraswati globalised the culture of Hawan and later inspired the establishment of DAV Schools worldwide, integrating Eastern values with Western technical advancements.
Vice-principal also shared that DAV is a memorial institution founded by Late Shree Shankar Lal Kedia and Late Shreemati Indumati Kedia in memory of their son, Late Shree Sushil Kedia, who passed away at the age of 17. Rituals such as Hawan, Sangha Daan, Swasti Path, and Geeta Path, alongside Yoga and Dhyan practices, have been upheld since the school’s inception.
The programme concluded with devotional Bhajans and Aarati, and each student received a certificate wishing them success in their upcoming Board Examination. Vice-Principal and teachers team of Grade X CBSE offered tika and prashad, blessing the students with prosperity and achievement.
The event ended on a joyful note with a Good Luck Party for the students immediately after the Hawan.
