Date: Nov 28th, 2025

An Embroidery Competition for Grade VIII Fashion Designing students was held on Thursday, 27th November, in the Robotics IT Room. The main aim of the event was to introduce students to basic needlework and encourage their creativity through hands-on practice.
The competition had a festive theme. Students created embroidery designs based on Christmas symbols such as stars, snowflakes, bells and Santa. They were free to use any stitching style and colours they liked to show the warmth and joy of the season.
The session was led by Ms. Linda Gurung, Fashion Designer Teacher at DAV, who taught the students important embroidery techniques and helped them develop their own unique designs.
The programme ended with an award ceremony where winners received certificates and special recognition for their excellent work. Students had brought their own design materials. The competition helped students express their creativity and improve their practical skills in fashion design.
