Dhampus–Pokhara Tour of Grade X-SEE (Batch: 2025/26)

A total of 120 interested students of Grade X-SEE participated in a four-day educational tour to the scenic Pokhara Valley from 26th to 29th December, 2025. The tour was organised under the guidance of Grade IX and X SEE In-charge, Mr. Narayan Khatiwada, and was accompanied by nine senior school teachers.
According to Mr. Khatiwada, the journey commenced on 26th December with the group travelling to Pokhara. On the first day, the students visited Dhampus, where they received a warm welcome from the local Mothers’ Group. In the evening, they enjoyed a traditional Gurung cultural programme, which provided valuable insight into the region’s rich cultural heritage.
The second day began with an early-morning hike to the Australian Base Camp, where the students were captivated by the breathtaking sunrise views. The day continued with visits to Bindabasini Temple, Pumdikot for Shiva Darshan, and the Shanti Stupa.
On the third day, the students explored several prominent landmarks, including Devi’s Fall, Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, the International Mountain Museum, Mahendra Gufa, Chamere Gufa, and KI Singh Bridge. The day concluded with a lively cultural programme at Lakeside, adding a joyful and memorable highlight to the tour.
The final day featured boating on Fewa Lake, followed by a visit to the Taal Barahi Temple, offering a calm and refreshing conclusion to the journey.
Overall, the Grade X-SEE educational tour to Pokhara Valley proved to be a highly enriching experience, leaving students with a deeper appreciation of the valley’s natural splendour and cultural richness. The tour inspired many students to look forward to revisiting Pokhara in the future.
This educational tour of Grade X is an annual programme and remains one of the most eagerly anticipated activities for those who enjoy learning through travel.
