DAVSKVB School Appears Victorious at Kathmandu Valley-Level National Song Singing Competition

DAV Sushil Kedia Vishwa Bharati School emerged victorious at the 2nd Apex Life Inter-School Singing Competition, held on September 19, 2026, securing the first-place trophy. The remarkable achievement brought immense pride to the school community and reflected the students’ exceptional talent, teamwork, and deep sense of patriotism.
Organised by Apex Life School, Chabahil, Kathmandu, to commemorate Constitution Day of Nepal, the competition brought together 35 schools from across the three districts of the Kathmandu Valley. Competing with enthusiasm and confidence, DAVSKVB team delivered a powerful and heartfelt performance that earned them the top honour.
Representing the school, a team of ten students presented the national song “Pyaro Lagchha Malai”, written by Mr. Narayan Prasad Khatiwada, Head of the Nepali Department, DAVSKVB, and composed by Mr. Jai Prakash Shrivastava, Head of the Music Department, DAVSKVB. The vocalists were Hanna Maharjan (Grade 7), Preetishree Shrestha (Grade 9), Sismic G.C. (Grade 9), Aarjan Sapkota (Grade 9), and Shreeyansh Mishra (Grade 9). They were supported by musicians Sohan Maharjan (Grade 7), Bishaj Bhadel (Grade 9), Aayan Maharjan (Grade 7), Abhinay Paudel (Grade 8), and Aarsh Ghimire (Grade 8).
For their outstanding performance, the winning team received a trophy, medals, certificates of achievement, and a cash prize of Rs. 10,000.
The young achievers were warmly honoured during the combined morning assembly of the Senior and Middle Schools on September 21, 2026. Mr. Tank Meghji Devji, Senior School Co-ordinator, honoured the students and their guiding teachers and congratulated them on their remarkable achievement. He also wished the team continued success as they carry forward their talent, confidence, and spirit of excellence.
