Date: Dec 7th, 2025
The Biology Department of DAV SKVB School organised an educational visit for Grade XII students to Guheswori Waste Water Treatment Plant in Kathmandu. A total of 28 Biology students from Grade XII took part in the programme.
The visit provided an excellent opportunity to deepen students’ understanding of key curriculum components, particularly Microbes in Waste Water Treatment from the Grade XII NCERT textbook. Students also gained insights into environmental management, sewage treatment systems, and the real-world application of biological concepts.
According to Newton Science Club In-charge, Mr. Sudhir Singh, the first-hand observation of wastewater treatment processes greatly enriched students’ practical knowledge and enabled them to link theoretical learning with actual environmental practices.
The accompanying teachers, Mr. Singh and Biology Lab In-charge Mr. Birendra Mandal, ensured students’ safety, supervision, and effective time management throughout the visit.
