Avanie Rai Selected for Congaree Global Golf Initiative 2026, in North Berwick, Scotland

Promising Nepali junior golfer Avanie Rai has been selected for the prestigious Congaree Global Golf Initiative (CGGI) Class of 2026, marking a significant milestone for junior golf in Nepal.
According to the Nepal Golf Association, Avanie earned the opportunity after being chosen from a competitive global pool of 250 applicants. The initiative, supported by the Congaree Foundation, is a fully funded long-term development program that invests in selected student-athletes by supporting their education, college placement, and golf development.
As part of the program, Avanie will participate in an intensive week of educational planning and elite golf training from July 26 to August 1, 2026 at Archerfield Links in North Berwick, Scotland. All travel and program expenses will be covered by the foundation.
DAV School Management and Nepal Golf Association have congratulated Avanie, stating that her selection highlights both her dedication and the growing potential of junior golf in Nepal.
