Annual Inter-School German Quiz Competition' 2026

The Annual Inter-School German Quiz Competition' 2026 was successfully held at DAV Sushil Kedia Vishwa Bharati School on September 2. The event was organised by the Department of Foreign Languages to promote friendship and collaborations among the German language Schools and students of Kathmandu valley.
The dignitaries of the programme were Ms. Clara Banken, Director of the Goethe-Zentrum Kathmandu, and Mr. Abhishek Paudel, Co-ordinator, PASCH/BKD Nepal, Mr. Ramchandra Khanal, Senior Wing Co-ordinator Mr. Tank Meghji Devji. Their presence added warmth and significance to the occasion and encouraged the participating students.
The Welcome Speech and Master of Ceremonies were conducted by Mr. Sabin Shakya, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages. The programme began with a Khada presentation and ceremonial lamp lighting, followed by the National Anthems of Nepal and Germany, creating a respectful and welcoming atmosphere.
The quiz featured nine exciting rounds covering German language, culture, landmarks, personalities, brands, general knowledge, and music. Throughout the competition, the participants demonstrated excellent knowledge, teamwork, confidence, and quick thinking, making the event both engaging and enjoyable.
After an exciting competition, the final results were announced. DAV Sushil Kedia Vishwa Bharati School secured the First Position with an impressive 300 points, while Kanjirowa National School stood Second with 295 points. Matribhumi School secured the Third Position with 270 points.
Following the announcement of the results, Ms. Clara Banken, along with Mr. Abhishek Paudel, presented the awards to the participants. All participants received certificates, medals, and trophies, while the participating schools were presented with a Token of Love as a gesture of appreciation. In addition, refreshments were served to the guests, teachers, and participants, adding to the cheerful atmosphere.
The event then concluded with a Vote of Thanks, expressing sincere gratitude to the distinguished guests, participating schools, teachers, students, and organisers for their valuable contributions and support.
