Achievers of Principal's Subject Sweepstakes of Science in Middle and Senior Honoured

The achievers of the Principal's Subject Sweepstakes in Science for Middle and Senior School were honoured in a special award distribution assembly held yesterday, (3rd December, 2025) in the gracious presence of Principal Dr. Bhubaneswari Rao. The results were announced by Middle School Activity In-charge, Mr. Surchen Shah, while Vice-Principal Mr. Ramchandra Khanal presented the awards to the deserving students.
From Middle School, the recipients of the Principal's Subject Sweepstakes Award were Gunika Deo of Grade V ‘E’, Samaha Jha of Grade VI ‘C’, Raman Mishra of Grade VII ‘C’, and Niranika Thapa of Grade VIII ‘I’. The winners from Senior School included Aarushi Khadka of Grade IX ‘D’, Siddhant Gurung of Grade X ‘C’, Janvi Goenka of Grade XI ‘E’, and Purab Thapa of Grade XII ‘B’. Each awardee received a carefully selected, best-selling Science book suited to their academic level.
As per the rules of the Principal's Subject Sweepstakes, one student from each grade is recognised annually. All students with a keen interest in Science participated enthusiastically, submitting their answers with remarkable accuracy. A lucky draw was then conducted to determine the winners from among those who had correctly completed the submissions.
Principal Dr. Bhubaneswari Rao, addressing the assembly, applauded the enthusiasm and dedication of the students. She emphasised the value of all awards instituted at DAV School and encouraged students to strive for excellence not only in academics but also in co-curricular pursuits. She further reminded the students of the prestigious Best Section Award to be announced at the end of the session, inspiring them to continue their pursuit of knowledge and holistic development.
DAV School has consistently organised the Principal's Subject Sweepstakes in English, Science, and Mathematics each year, aiming to broaden students’ academic horizons and foster a spirit of intellectual curiosity.
