Walking through the Memory Lane: A Parental Involvement Programme for Grade IV Students

'Walking through the Memory Lane', a parental involvement programme, was organised for Grade IV students in Jetavan Hall on 18th December 2024.
A representative parent from each section actively participated and contributed to the programme. Dr. Manu Tamang (Section A), Dr. Subesh Chaudhary (Section B), Ms. Sangeeta Sharma Gurung (Section C), Ms. Kripa Dhakhwa (Section D), Mr. Pravakar Jha and Ms. Punam Jha (Section E), Ms. Ankita Sharma (Section F), Mr. Sushil Pandit (Section G), Ms. Luna Rijal (Section H), and Ms. Sabita Kandel Subedi (Section I) made presentation for the programme.
They shared heartfelt anecdotes from their children’s childhood, emphasizing the crucial role of parents and schools in instilling the right culture and moral values. They also spoke about their personal struggles, both at home and abroad, to inspire and motivate the students.
In his closing remarks, Vice-Principal Mr. Ramchandra Khanal extended his sincere gratitude to the parents for their thoughtful and bold presentations. He highlighted the importance of teaching students to embrace challenges in life and praised the programme for bridging the shared goals of home and school in imparting moral values and ethics.
According to Vice-principal, initiatives like 'Walking through the Memory Lane' make learning more relatable for students, helping them to grasp important life lessons effortlessly.
The parents equally expressed their appreciation for DAV School’s commitment to fostering ethics and moral values alongside quality education. The programme was moderated by Ms. Prabha Chettri from Junior School, while Junior School Activity In-Charge Ms. Anusha Rana and a team of teachers extended warm hospitality to all invited parents. The audience for the event included students from Sections IV 'E' and IV 'F'.
