Walking Through the Memory Lane for Grade III Students
Date: Dec 18th, 2024
On December 17, some invited parents from Grade III participated in the ‘Walking Through the Memory Lane’ programme, organised by the Parental Involvement Team. The event provided an opportunity for parents to share cherished memories and life lessons with the young students, creating a meaningful and enriching experience.
The parents who actively contributed to the programme included Ms. Manisha Shakya (Section A), Ms. Anita Dhakal (Section B), Mr. Srijan Barmel (Section C), Ms. Jyoti Mishra (Section D), Dr. Sabindra Raj Bhandari (Section E), Ms. Shristy Jha (Section F), Ms. Meena Adhikari (Section G), and Ms. Pratibha Silwal (Section H). Each parent brought unique perspectives and stories to inspire and engage the students.
While many parents shared heartfelt reflections on the responsibilities of motherhood and the valuable lessons they have passed on to their children, others narrated stories about Lord Gautam Buddha and the importance of peace. Some shared fascinating accounts of their travels to Japan and Dubai, while a few highlighted the significance of healthy eating and its impact on overall well-being.
The school believes that such programmes play a vital role in broadening students’ minds and enhancing their socialisation skills. The parents also expressed their appreciation for the initiative and encouraged the school to continue organising similar events in the future.
The event was graced by the presence of Vice-Principal Mr. Ramchandra Khanal, Primary School Co-ordinator Mr. Andrew Fitz Patrick, and Junior School Activity In-Charge Ms. Anusha Rana, along with the dedicated Junior School teachers, who warmly welcomed the parents and extended their sincere hospitality.
Addressing the gathering, Vice-Principal Mr. Ramchandra Khanal noted that he was deeply touched by the parents’ presentations and remarked that the behavioral and moral lessons students learn from their own parents are invaluable. He further noted that the day would leave a lasting impact on the students’ lives.
In his closing remarks, Mr. Khanal extended heartfelt gratitude to the parents for sparing their invaluable time and energy to the school and expressed hope for continued collaboration in the future.
The programme was moderated by Ms. Prabha Cheetri, and the audience included students from Grade III ‘B’ and ‘C’ sections, who were deeply engaged throughout the event.
