Thanks Giving Day for House Keeping, Security and Canteen Staff

The Students' Prefect Council organised a Thanks Giving Day to honour the contribution of Housekeeping, Security, and Canteen staff in Buddha Hall on September 10.
The event was held in the gracious presence of Chairperson Shree Anil Kedia as the Chief Guest, with Special Guest Mr. Vikrant Pandey from Fight Back, and the Guest of Honour, Principal Dr. Bhubaneswari Rao, Vice-principal Mr. Ramchandra Khanal, CAO Ms. Vijaya Tater, SSO, Wing Co-ordinators, and Housekeeping In-Charge Ms. Suchita Shrestha.
In his address, Chairperson expressed his pleasure at witnessing the Thanks Giving programme, a tradition initiated by the Students' Council every two years. He commended everyone involved for their efforts and fondly remembered some of the staffs who had served both at the Kedia Organisation's Head Office and DAV School, lauding their nurturing care for the students of DAV and Head Office over the years.
He also highlighted the affection and support shown by the staff, particularly during school departure times, and offered heartfelt thanks to the Housekeeping, Security, and Canteen teams for their indispensable role in the school's smooth operation.
He encouraged the children to adopt an attitude of gratitude, emphasizing that this mindset is key to achieving success in life. Highlighting his point, he stated, "You can buy anything with love and compassion." He reminded them that it is a human instinct to recognize how others have served, behaved, and supported in different phase of life, and urged the students to make gratitude a core value in their lives.
The celebration was further enlivened by performances from students, including a band performance and group dances in honour of the staff. The Housekeeping team delighted the audience with traditional Nepali dances to songs like "Sorai Barse Umerama..." and "Ke Hereko Tulu Tulu," followed by a freestyle dance to "Mohani Lagla Hai." The Security staff also showcased their talent with a performance to the Nepali song "Sali Man Paryo."
Speaking on behalf of the honoured staff, Ms. Suchita Shrestha, House Keeping In-charge expressed deep appreciation to the Chairperson, Special Guest, Principal, Vice-Principal, CAO, SSO, Wing Co-ordinators, teachers, and students for organizing such a memorable event and for their time and recognition.
Earlier in the programme, Prefect Council Team Head Ms. Srijana Rana delivered the welcome address, and Middle School Head Boy Kartik Joshi offered a vote of thanks. The event was smoothly moderated by senior students Omraj Jha and Maya Gupta.
During the programme, the dignitaries, along with teachers and Prefect Council representatives, expressed their sincere gratitude to the staff, presenting them with a commemorative gift in recognition of their invaluable contributions.
Following the programme, the housekeeping staff gathered for a group photo with the Chairperson and Principal, and the school management hosted a special evening feast to celebrate the occasion.
