The event was graced by the benign presence of the First Lady, Shreemati Sunita Kedia, who attended as the Chief Guest. The programme, dedicated to the female teachers and mothers of DAV School, became a heart-warming occasion as she extended her affectionate wishes to all present, emphasising the values of love, care and togetherness that Teej embodies.
As a part of the celebration, teachers from Kindergarten to Senior School presented enchanting Teej songs and dances, filling the hall with cultural vibrancy. Adding further charm and delight, the invited mothers participated in a graceful ramp walk competition and dance performances, creating an atmosphere of elegance and joy.
Despite his demanding schedule, Chairperson Shree Anil Kedia attended the celebration to honour the female teachers and mothers of DAV. In his address, he highlighted DAV’s initiative to celebrate diverse festivals as a way to preserve cultural heritage and pass it on to future generations. He reflected on the spiritual significance of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, encouraging everyone to understand the deeper essence of Teej.
