Sporty Parent- Sporty Kid, 2023

The Parental Involvement Team organised Sporty- Parent- Sporty Kid- 2023, a motivational and recreational programme of its own kind to the parents' communities at the School premises on January 23.
With the sole objective to motivate and inspire the children in sports, the School Management has come forward with this innovative programme. 'Sporty Parent-Sporty Kid, 2023' observed the active participation of more than one hundred parents representing all the sections from Kindergarten to Grade XII.
The formal programme started by welcoming all the invited parents in the assembly by Vice-principal Mr. Ram Chandra Khanal and CAO Ms. Vijaya Tater. Mr. Umesh Saud- HoD of English made a welcome speech.
Then, the parents were taken in their respective venue for Futsal, Badminton and Table Tennis games immediately after the assembly. All the games were completed by 12: 30 PM.
As per the results in Table Tennis Competition, Mr. Bikram Shrestha won the first position. Mr. Amir Shakya won the second position. Mr. Subin Shrestha and Mr. Shreeram Thapa won the third position. A total of eighteen participated in this category.
Similarly, in Badminton Male category, Mr. Sanjay Maharjan won the first position and Mr. Ghanshyam Bhatta won the second position. Mr. Niran Shrestha and Mr. Debojit Mukherjee won the third position. A total of 44 parents attended in this category.
Likewise, In Badminton female category, Mrs. Bina Rai won the first position and Mrs. Rojina Karki won the second position. Mrs. Ramila Maharjan and Mrs. Sonu Poddar won the third position. A total of 18 parents participated in this category.
Finally, in the futsal event, a team of Mr. Suraj Kashyap, Mr. Niran Gurung, Mr. Harisharan Kumar, Mr. Raju Bashyal and Mr. Rajesh K.C. won the first position and was honoured with Running Trophy. Mr. Niran Gurung who scored 4 goals was honoured with the Golden Boot Award. A total of 23 parents participated in this category.
All the games witnessed tough competition among the parents. To note, Futsal winners were decided through the toss as both team scored 4-4 goals and then 1-1 goals in the penalty shoot-out.
Vice-principal Mr. Ram Chandra Khanal honoured all the winners of Futsal and Table tennis competition at Futsal ground and Pratik Hall respectively. And, the winners of Badminton competition were honoured by Senior School Co-ordinator Mr. Tank Meghji Devji.
To end, it was breathtaking moment to witness the support, cheering and excitements of the children on the day.
