Sporty Parent - Sporty Kid, 2024

The Parental Involvement Team in collaboration with DAV Sports Academy organised 'Sporty Parent - Sporty Kid - 2024', a motivational and recreational programme of its own kind to the parents' communities at the School premises on March 3.
With the sole objective to motivate and inspire the children in sports, the School Management has come forward with this innovative programme. 'Sporty Parent-Sporty Kid, 2024' observed the active participation of one hundred and forty-eight parents representing all the sections from Kindergarten to Grade XII.
Chairperson Shree Anil Kedia, Principal Dr. Bhubaneswari Rao and Vice Principal Mr. Ramchandra Khanal along with all the members of management team visited the futsal ground and all other venues and added elegance and ecstasy into the atmosphere. In addition, the cheering and applauses of the students throughout the games were commendable and worthy to observe.
All the games were completed by 1:30 PM.
As per the results, in Table Tennis Male Category, Mr. Bikash Khadka won the first position and gold medal. Mr. Manish Rathi won the second position and silver medal. Mr. Rabindra Shahi and Mr. Robin Kumar Shrestha each won the third position and bronze medal. A total of sixteen fathers participated in this category.
Similarly, in Badminton Male Category, Mr. Sanjay Maharjan won the first position and gold medal. Mr. Ranjit Kumar Sinha won the second position and silver medal and Mr. Shyam Kumar Neupane and Mr. Rannu Sharma won the third position and bronze medal. A total of 47 fathers participated in the Badminton Competition.
Likewise, Female Badminton Competition saw a participation of 42 sporty mothers. Among them, Ms. Anita Ghimire won the first position and gold medal. Ms. Meena Malla Shah won the second position and silver medal. Ms. Swarnim Khadka and Ms. Shrisna Maharjan each won the third position and bronze medal.
Finally, in the futsal event, a team of Mr. Anup Bikram Shah, Mr. Prabhat Sibakoti, Mr. Ishwor P. Rijal, Mr. Abinash Tiwari, Mr. Ranjit Sapkota, Mr. Santosh Rana Magar, Mr. Raj Kumar Napit, Mr. Ramesh Maharjan, Mr. Santosh Shrestha, Mr. Prakash Mundra, Mr. Deepak Mohala and Mr. Thilendra Bhattarai won the first position and running trophy of Sporty Kid and Sport Parent, 2024. Mr. Thirendra Prashad Subedi won the Best Player Award. A total of forty-three fathers participated in this category.
The Chairperson Shree Anil Kedia, Principal Dr. Bhubaneswari Rao and Vice Principal Mr. Ramchandra Khanal congratulated and honoured all the winners with medals in the presence of students and teachers in different venues.
