Soldering Workshop and Competition for Grade VII

Vocational Department organised a 'Soldering Workshop and Competition' for the IT students of Grade VII A to E sections in Indu Hall on June 9.
Er. Jonish Raj Lama, IT and electronics teacher, conducted the workshop and competition.
The students used the materials like signature pen, metal dish, wash scrub, soldering iron, solder, flux and matrix board in the workshop and competition.
The objective of the soldering workshop and competition was to encourage and motivate students to understand soldering process and add innovation in design to produce reliable information.
The competition helped students to become acquainted with soldering tools and equipment. They learnt different types of soldering irons, soldering stations, soldering tips, and other tools used in the soldering process. They also understood how to select and handle the appropriate equipment for different soldering tasks.
Prior to the competition, Er. Lama trained the students to solder components on circuit board safely and correctly. For more information, soldering is a process used for joining metal parts to form a mechanical or electrical bond.
As per the results, Khusboo Swami (VII G) won the first position followed by Saurab Mulmi (VII B), Mohammad Afjal (VII G) and Aaron Bajracharya (VII B) in the second position.
Kartik Joshi (VII E) Aayan Shrestha (VII B) and Vedanth Thapa (VII A) won the third position. Saniya Singh (VII E), Jeshu Nagarkoti (VII E), Yash Sharma (VII I) and Khatija Tariq (VII I) won the fourth position.
The winners will be introduced and honoured with a merit certificate in the assembly soon.
