Janardan Sanskrit Club organised a captivating Sanskrit Speech Competition in Jetavan Hall, drawing enthusiastic participation from Grade IX and X students on December 3.
The event, attended by Mr. Purushottam Rijal, Head of the Sanskrit Department, showcased students’ eloquence and deep understanding of Sanskrit through speeches on diverse and thought-provoking topics such as Sa Vidya Ya Vimuktaye, Udyamena Hi Siddhyanti, Rituna Ramaniyakam, Itarabhashasu Sanskritabhashaya Prabhav, Vidwan Sarvatra Pujyate, Santosha, Ahimsa Paramo Dharma, Sandhe Shakti: Kalau Yuge, and Janani Janmabhumishcha.
The judges were Mr. Sudarshan Adhikari and Ms. Shanta Kumari Thapa. The participants were evaluated on their linguistic prowess, depth of knowledge, and overall impact. Muskan Jayswal from Grade IX 'H' secured the first position, followed by Sohalya Jha from Grade X 'J' in second place, Aaditya Raj Bastola Grade X 'J' in the second place and Ujjwal Dhoot received consolation prizes. Altogether, nine students participated, demonstrating their passion for Sanskrit and remarkable oratory skills.
Janardan Sanskrit Club continues its unwavering commitment to promoting and preserving the beauty of the Sanskrit language, honouring the legacy of its late Chief Administrative Officer, Janardan Ghimire, a distinguished Sanskrit scholar.
