Participation at 'Run for LiFE'

A total of twenty five students from DAV participated in a five-kilometer Run for LiFE at the Pashupatinath Temple Complex on 21 January 2023 organised by Embassy of India, Kathmandu Nepal.

All the participants finished the run successfully and won the Finishers medal.

The programme was organised to spread the concept of LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) as a part of its activities to celebrate the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' or 'Celebration of Independence'.

Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Hon'ble Sudan Kiranti along with Ambassador of India to Nepal H.E. Naveen Srivastava made benign presence and added elegance to the celebration programme.

Addressing all the attendees, Ambassador Srivastava expressed confidence that people of India and Nepal will collectively work towards protecting our planet through a more environmentally conscious lifestyle.

Approximately one thousand people, including noted personalities such as actor Pradeep Khadka, mountaineers Purnima Shrestha and Kalpana Maharjan, and Nepali ‘iron-man’ Alok Khatri attended the event.

At the end, the top finishers of 5 km run in both male and female categories were honoured with a medal by the Minster Kirati and Amabassador Srivastava.

DAV students were accompanied by the teachers Mr. Santosh Ray and Mr. Ramesh Gurung.
