Nepali Extempore Competition for Grade IX Students

Devkota Nepali Club of Senior School organised a Nepali Extempore Competition in the presence of the Vice-principal, Mr. Ramchandra Khanal, and the Nepali HoD, Mr. Narayan Khatiwada, in Jetavan Hall on November 16.
The topic for the extempore was ‘The Role of Technology in the Development of Language’. A total of 12 students, two from each section from ‘A’ to ‘F’, were selected for the competition. All the participants delivered their presentations fluently, showcasing the findings of their studies and research on the given topic.
As per the results, Prachur Dhakal from Section ‘A’ secured first position, followed by Stuti Rasaili from Section ‘C’, Sarbani Subedi from Section ‘B’, and Suryanshu Jha, also from Section ‘B’, who attained second, third, and fourth positions respectively. The judges for the event were Ms. Bipana Karki (Middle School) and Ms. Kalpana Bhatta (Junior School).
In his concluding remarks, Nepali HOD Mr. Narayan Khatiwada emphasised that technology plays a crucial role in learning any language and should therefore be utilised effectively to learn multiple languages. He further added that the development of the Nepali language must continue with the support of technology.
He also appreciated the students’ oratory and research skills and offered suggestions to help further enrich their abilities in future endeavours. The audience comprised students from Grade IX Sections ‘D’, ‘E’, and ‘F’. The moderator of the programme was Sambhawi Basyal from Grade XI 'A'.
