Media Students of Grade IX Visited Republic Media House

As many as thirty mass media students of Grade IX visited Republic Media House, Sundhara, Kathmandu, on May 31.
The objective of the media visit was to enhance students' knowledge on news collection, editing, publication and distribution.
As a part of the visit, the students had an interaction session with the prominent journalists and editors of Nagarik Dainik, Republica and News Dot Com. Most of the students had queries on sensitive issues and challenges faced by media house in Nepal including importance of advertisements in media industry. Some others were interested to learn why the journalist and editors decided to make career in media field.
Similarly, the editors also learnt mass media topics in Grade IX. In addition, the editors questioned why the students opt for mass media as a part of vocational course. The students also shared experiences of media learning with the editors.
Overall, the students had a great learning opportunity according Mass Media Teacher of DAV School Ms. Gyanu BK. Ms. Linda Gurung also accompanied the students.
