"Me and My Profession," an informative and motivational talk programme, was held at the middle school (Grade V to VIII) on the 13th and 14th of August 2024.

The event brought together parents from diverse professional backgrounds who served as resource persons. The objective of the programme was to introduce students to various professions and help them understand the qualifications and skills necessary to succeed in those fields.

On August 13, Dr. Aakriti Koirala, the mother of Kritartha Shrestha (V 'G'), a dental surgeon with 15 years of experience, delivered a presentation on oral health to Grade V students. Her session was highly interactive, with students eagerly asking questions about oral health.
Ms. Asha Thapaliya, the mother of Aashwasti Kamal (VI 'J'), with 22 years of experience in journalism and communication shared her experiences and knowledge to Grade VI students on the same day. She shared valuable insights from her media career, focusing on interview techniques, and inspired students to engage in the art of interviewing.

On August 14, Ms. Bharati Adhikari, the mother of Pragalva Luitel (VII 'H'), Principal of Barhakhari Kids Foundation, shared her 18 years experiences as an educator.
Later that day, Mr. Badri Subedi, the father of Sarbani Subedi (VIII 'B') a Legal, Tax & Audit Consultant, with over two decades of experience, explained legal profession with his diverse experiences.

Beyond introducing their professions, the guest speakers engaged extensively with the students, encouraging them to ask questions and responding to their queries with enthusiasm.
On behalf of the School Management, Vice-Principal Mr. Ramchandra Khanal and Middle School Coordinator Mr. Krishna Joshi warmly welcomed all the invited parents.
In conclusion, the speakers motivated students to give their best effort in whichever profession they pursue in the future. They emphasized the importance of building a strong foundation from the school level through dedicated learning. The speakers also commended DAV School for providing wonderful platform and expressed their hope that the programme would continue in the future.
