Good Luck Hawan for Grade X CBSE Students, 2025

The Sanskrit Department of DAV School organized a sacred Good Luck Hawan ceremony for Grade X CBSE students on 30th January 2025 in Indu Hall.
The ritual was led by the Head of the Sanskrit Department, Mr. Purushottam Rijal, and Sanskrit teacher, Mr. Niranjan Khatiwada, as the Pundits for the Hawan. Vice Principal, Mr. Ramchandra Khanal, served as the Yajaman. Teachers and students of Grade X actively participated in all the sacred rituals.
The Hawan commenced with the chanting of the Om Mantra and Gayatri Mantra, followed by Swasti Baachan, Agnay Daan, Shanti Path, and other Vedic rituals.
Speaking on the occasion, Pundit Purushottam Rijal emphasized that Hawan is one of the most significant human deeds and is conducted to invoke blessings during important life events.
Addressing the gathering, Vice Principal Mr. Ramchandra Khanal highlighted the deep-rooted connection between Hawan, Maharishi Dayananda Saraswati, and DAV institution. He elaborated on its traditional and scientific significance and expressed gratitude to the teachers for organizing this auspicious event. He also advised students to fully utilize their exam preparation time and wished them success in their upcoming Board exams.
In a similar vein, Nepali HoD Mr. Narayan Khatiwoda provided valuable exam preparation tips. Hindi HoD Mr. Purushottam Pokhrel, Social Studies HoD Mr. Aarti Sharma, and class teachers also extended their best wishes to the students.
The ceremony concluded with Aarati and devotional Bhajans. Each student received a certificate as a token of good luck for their Board examinations. The Vice Principal and teachers blessed the students with tika and prashad, wishing them great success.
Prior to the Hawan, Senior School Co-ordinator Mr. Tank Meghji Devji addressed the students during the morning assembly. He provided essential information about the Board examinations and extended his best wishes for their examinations.
Following the Hawan, the students enjoyed a Good Luck Party at the school canteen, making the occasion even more memorable.
