Freshers' Meet- Welcome Programme for Grade XI

The students of Grade XII (CBSE) organized Freshers' Meet, a grand welcome Programme for Grade XI (CBSE) in the benign presence of Chairperson Shree Anil Kedia in Buddha Hall on August 21.

Students of Grade XII in groups presented Mash up Songs and Dances and few of them sang Instrumental Songs to welcome their juniors. The Portfolio Holder students of Grade XII honoured Grade XI Class Teachers with khada and token of appreciation and freshers were welcomed with a memorable token. 

The Chief Guests, Chairperson Shree Anil Kedia marked Freshers' Meet as an extraordinary programme. He added, 'all the stage performances were wonderfully and independently done with discipline and diligence.  The Chairperson was highly contended to witness the Freshers' Meet organized for the first time and appreciated the Principal Dr. Bhubaneswari Rao along with all the Management Team Members and Teachers for their immense role in taking the institution to a new height. In a special focus, he expressed huge respect to Senior School Co-ordinator Mr. Tank Meghji Devji and said he was blessed to work with a personality like him. 

Chairperson heartily welcomed the newly enrolled students in Grade XI and congratulated them for choosing the best institution in the Valley popularly known for world class infrastructure, holistic learning environment, brand and values'. Shree Kedia also projected the rhythm of the students and said, 'We believe you have joined here with strong conviction to pursue your dream career and there is no alternate to self discipline'. He further added, 'over last thirty years we are practicing value based education and our alumni have proved as the best professionals around the world with good character and discipline'.

Chairperson strongly believed DAV is standing tall because of Discipline. During his address, he remembered some CEO of World Class Companies who were raised in Eastern School of thought and motivated students to learn the values of Eastern Society. He also presented some guiding principles to Management students from his long experiences in Corporate Sector which was equally useful to Science students as well. The students were blessed endlessly in the future endeavour.

Similarly, the Principal Dr. Bhubaneswari Rao believed the students were in Buddha Hall with strong hope and aspiration. She inspired the students and said,' You should be able to maximize learning to make yourself a versatile person and better version everyday from Holistic Learning Environment'. The Principal further added 'You are here to add feathers of Excellence in its cap'.

The Principal motivated students to be dear to heart and suggested not to take parents as a granted and motivated them to understand their contribution. She also made presentation on Time management skills, focusing goals, thinking out of box and dreaming of big things in life.

The Principal hopefully believed students will find two years most exciting in learning with brilliant, committed and hard working teachers team. Towards the end of the programme, the Principal was requested to announce the 'Most Calm, Quiet and Decent' Event results of Grade XI. The judge of this event was Primary Wing Co-ordinator Mr. Andrew Fitz Patrick.

As per the results, Suraj Kumar Jaiswal won the first position and Mr. Well Dressed Title. Vidisha Nepal from Section D won the second position and Miss Well Dressed Title.

Similarly, Aastha Nigam from Section A won the third position. Priyanka Senapati from Section B won the fourth position and Aaryan Chaudhary from Section D won the fifth position. All the winners were honoured with the award by Chairperson Shree Anil Kedia. The Principal suggested Freshers to follow the awardees and blessed all the attendees endlessly and concluded her address. Vice-principal Mr. Ram Chandra Khanal and CAO Ms. Vijaya Tater were there to guide and motivate students.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks from Vidisha Nepal.  The students and teachers joined a welcome party immediately after the programme in Pratik Hall.
