Field Visit to Bhaktapur Industrial Estate, 2024

On 23rd December, a total of thirty-four students from Grade IX students associated with Fashion Designing subject embarked on an insightful field visit to Bhaktapur Industrial Estate. They were accompanied by Ms. Linda Gurung, their Fashion Designing teacher, and Er. Jonish Raj Lama, IT and Electronics teacher. During the visit, the staff at the textile industry guided the students through various textile manufacturing plants, providing a brief introduction to the functions of each machine. It was inspiring to see the students enthusiastically using this opportunity to address their questions and deepen their understanding of textile and fashion design processes. According to Ms. Linda Gurung, the primary objective of the visit was to equip the students with practical knowledge of the textile industry. Additionally, the students were fortunate to observe operations at several specialised manufacturing plants, including those for garment dyeing, pashmina, elastic fabrics, and zippers, making the visit both educational and enriching.
