Family Jamboree of Grade VIII

Family Jamboree of Grade VIII for the academic session 2022/23 was held on July 21.

The parents of Grade VIII were invited in the School to witness the programme.

The Principal Dr. Bhubaneswari Rao welcomed all the parents and guests in the Jamboree and shed a light on how parental involvement at present has been taken as an important factor in education. She also shared few experiences how children change to become a better version when family gets involved in the School. The Principal further added, 'the school will leave no opportunity to invite parents in the School and witness the activities of their wards in future'.

DAV Chairperson Shree Anil Kedia welcomed the Chief Guest Mr. D.K. Dhungana- President of Central PABSON, Guest of Honour Mr. Pawan Mittal – President Marwari Sewa Parishad and special guests- Mr. Ram Awatar Agrawal, Mr. MD Agrawal, Mr. Phul Kumar Lalwani and Mr. Dinesh Naulakha with bouquet of flower and khada.  

The cultural programme started with Students' English song (Country Road),  followed by Tribal Dance from Africa, Nepali Cultural Dance (Tharu Culture), Turkish Dance, Parents Programme, Nepali song, Bharatnatyam(Indian Classical) and Tollywood Dance.

The Chief Guest Mr. D.K Dhungana addressed the parents and was all praise to the education of DAV which has linked the human value and culture in education over three decades in Nepal. Similarly, Guest of Honour Mr. Pawan Mittal said DAV School's contribution in education is an asset of Marwari Community.

On the occasion, he also remembered Late Ram Kumar Kedia who was the advisor in establishing Marwari Sewa Samaj in 2010 BS. Similarly, he also remembered the founder of DAV School Late Shankar Lal Kedia and his dedication to service.    

The mothers who won the dance competitions were honoured with a gift hampers.  To end, the students' performance was judged by a panel of 28 parents. DAV has included parents to judge the activities of their wards for the first time in the history of family jamboree. The winners will be honoured with a merit certificate in the assembly soon.
