
Family Jamboree of Grade IV, 2025

The Family Jamboree for Grade IV, for the academic session 2025/26, was held on 8th August 2025 in the gracious presence of Mr. Bholanath Ojha, Campus Chief of Janamaitri College, Kuleshwar, Kathmandu. The event took place in the Buddha Hall, amidst an atmosphere of warmth and celebration.
The Family Jamboree is an expression of students’ innate talents, offering parents a unique opportunity to witness the grooming and holistic development of their wards. It is also a vibrant musical extravaganza, where students take parents on a captivating journey across the world through diverse cultural and social performances.
The formal programme commenced with an English song, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, the welcoming of guests, and the singing of the national anthem. Thereafter, the stage came alive with a series of mesmerizing performances, including a graceful Kathak dance, energetic hip-hop, a thematic dance on friendship, traditional Nepali dance, Bharatanatyam, a melodious Nepali song, and a grand concluding act blending Bollywood and Tollywood styles.
As an integral part of the Jamboree, a recreational game competition for parents was organised, continuing a cherished tradition of the event. The winners were honoured with awards by the Chief Guest, in the esteemed presence of Vice-principal Mr. Ramchandra Khanal and Chief Administrative Officer Ms. Vijaya Tater.
In his address, Chief Guest Mr. Bholanath Ojha expressed heartfelt nostalgia as he reminisced about his own school days in Damak, Jhapa, and his teaching experience at Birendra Sainik Awasiya Mahavidyalaya. He emphasised the vital role of moral education in shaping human character, urging parents to spend quality time with their children to avoid future regrets. He advised that children’s mistakes should be corrected promptly and constructively, and encouraged parents and educators to recognise each child’s unique potential, nurturing their skills without comparisons. He further stressed the importance of addressing children’s questions at home, highlighting that both school and family share the responsibility of shaping capable and compassionate future leaders.
The event was graced by Senior School Co-ordinator Mr. Tank Meghji Devji, Middle School Co-ordinator Mr. Krishna Joshi, Junior School Co-ordinator Mr. Andrew Fitz Patrick, Kindergarten Co-ordinator Ms. Shanti Gurung, Human Resource Manager Mr. Ashish Rai, and all faculty heads, who extended a warm welcome and sincere hospitality to the invited parents.
The welcome address was delivered by Junior School Activity In-charge Ms. Anusha Rana, while the programme was masterfully compered by Ms. Eni Subba, Ms. Binita Tamang, and Ms. Kalpana Bhatta.
