The Family Jamboree for Grade IV took place in the state-of-the-art, Buddha Hall on August 15. The event united Grade IV families in a spirit of celebration and community. The jamboree commenced with a warm welcome speech from Ms. Anusha Rana, the Junior School Activity In-charge. Following this, a lamp-lighting ceremony was held, paying homage to the Almighty and departed souls. The ceremony was led by esteemed grandparents Mr. KP Bhatt, Ms. Kalawati Devi, and Mr. Sashikant Karn, alongside the Guest of Honour, Shree Anil Kedia, and the Principal, Dr. Bhubaneswari Rao. The event continued with the singing of the national anthem, after which the stage was handed over to the students and their parents. The performances included a heartfelt rendition of the English song "Give Me Hope," followed by classical dances such as Bharatnatyam and Kathak, a Nepali dance "Tamang Selo," a Bollywood dance mashup, a thematic dance on "Save the Green," a Hindi song "Ajiba Dasata Hai," and the Filipino dance "Tropical Groove." During the event, Chairperson Shree Anil Kedia, in the presence of Principal Dr. Bhubaneswari Rao, honoured the winners of the Parents' Game Competition with prizes. As per the results, Mr. Hari Sharan Kunwar and Ms. Nabeena Basnet won the first position. Mr. Uttam Ranabhat and Ms. Nuton Sharma Ranabhat won the second position. Mr. Rajendra Shrestha and Ms. Indira Rai won the third position. The students' performances were judged by a panel of DAV parents, who submitted their evaluations to the school authorities. The winning group will soon be treated to a surprise breakfast with the Chairperson and the Principal. The event was attended by Vice-Principal Mr. Ramchandra Khanal, CAO Ms. Vijaya Tater, SSO Mr. Prashant Samal, Senior School Co-ordinator Mr. Tank Meghji Devji, Middle School Co-ordinator Mr. Krishna Joshi, Junior School Co-ordinator Mr. Andrew Fitz Patrick, Kindergarten Co-ordinator Ms. Shanti Gurung, and HR Head Mr. Aashish Rai, along with Heads of Departments. They extended warm hospitality and a heartfelt welcome to all the parents. The masters of ceremony were Ms. Prabha Chhetri and Ms. Eni Subba, while Ms. Kalpana Bhatta facilitated the Parents' Game Competition. In essence, the Family Jamboree was a showcase of the students' inner talents, providing parents with the opportunity to witness their children's growth and development. It was also a musical extravaganza, taking parents on a cultural journey through various social and cultural performances.
