The much-anticipated musical extravaganza of Grade II for the academic session 2024/25 was held at Buddha Hall on 24th December. The event began with a warm welcome extended by the Principal, Dr. Bhubaneswari Rao, to the Patron of DAV School, Shree Anil Kedia, the special guest Mr. Ram Bahadur Thapa, and the esteemed parents and guardians in attendance. Vice-Principal, Mr. Ramchandra Khanal, and CAO, Ms. Vijaya Tater, were also in attendance to honour and welcome the distinguished guests and invited parents. Following this, the ceremonial lamp was lit, symbolising the start of the programme, which was then accompanied by a heartfelt rendition of the National Anthem. The students delivered a vibrant array of performances, including the English song "I Can Learn", a semi-classical dance, an Afro dance, a Nepali cultural dance, a skit depicting the Nativity of Christ, the Hindi song "Lakdi Ki Kathi", and an energetic Bollywood dance. The parents were thrilled with their children's performances, enthusiastically cheering them on and providing encouragement for their future endeavours. The creativity and talent displayed on stage reflected the meticulous preparation under the guidance of Principal Dr. Bhubaneswari Rao, who was deeply pleased with the students' efforts during rehearsals. The Family Jamboree Programme, conceptualized by the Principal, stands as a unique cultural initiative among schools worldwide. Adding to the lively atmosphere, some enthusiastic parents participated in a fun-filled game competition, which brought an extra touch of excitement and elegance to the event. Chairperson, Shree Anil Kedia, along with the Principal, Vice-Principal, and CAO, presented prizes to the winners immediately after the competition. In addition, some parents from Grade I were invited to evaluate the students' performances. The winning group will be honoured in an upcoming school assembly. The event was hosted by Ms Anusha Rana, who opened the programme, while Ms. Laden Lama and Ms. Ashmita Khadgi served as the primary anchors. Ms. Kalpana Bhatta led the parents' game segment with great enthusiasm. The programme was graced by the presence of the SSO, wing coordinators (from kindergarten to senior school), the HR manager, heads of departments, and teachers from across the school. Together, they extended their hospitality to the distinguished guests and invited parents and guardians.
