The Family Jamboree and Graduation Ceremony of DAV Kindergarten for the academic year 2024/25 was celebrated with great enthusiasm in the gracious presence of the Chief Guest Mr. Laxmi Prashad Gupta from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), New Delhi, India, in Buddha Hall yesterday (3rd March 2025).
The event was graced by the Principal Dr. Bhubaneswari Rao, Vice-principal Mr. Ramchandra Khanal, CAO Ms. Vijaya Tater, along with the dedicated DAV Kindergarten teachers and a supportive parents community. Their presence and blessings filled the occasion with warmth, as they wished the young graduates success in their educational journey ahead.
The formal programme commenced with Vedic rituals, including the traditional lighting of the lamp ceremony, followed by the National Anthem. Kindergarten Co-ordinator Ms. Shanti Gurung then delivered a heartfelt welcome speech, setting a joyous tone for the event.
The cultural performances began with UKG 'A' students presenting a delightful melody, followed by a Nepali song, 'Tirkha Lagyo Nirmaya', performed by LKG students. Nursery students presented an energetic dance on 'Health is Wealth', while UKG 'B' staged an emotional thematic dance on 'Maa'. Additionally, a mesmerizing group dance on the song 'Tu Hai Toh' and a cake-cutting celebration added to the excitement.
The audience was captivated by the extraordinary performances of the young students, who showcased their talent with confidence and joy. Their songs, dances, and enactments earned admiration and applause from everyone present. The breathtaking cultural performances left lasting impressions, creating beautiful memories for all attendees.
A particularly touching moment was the 'Thank You' speech delivered by the UKG graduates, which deeply moved the teachers and parents with their heartfelt words of gratitude. The Chief Guest, Mr. Gupta, presented Graduation Certificates to all the UKG graduates, in the presence of the Principal, Vice-Principal, and CAO, marking a proud milestone in their early learning journey.
The event was a celebration of growth, progress, and unity, reinforcing a sense of togetherness and pride at DAV Kindergarten. The programme was skillfully moderated by Aarifa Khatun (XI 'C') and Prince Agrawal (XI 'D'), with an audience comprising students and teachers of Grade V and VI.
