Election Campaign for Student's Council- 2025/26

The election campaign for the Senior School Student's Council at DAV School began with great enthusiasm during the morning assembly on 30th April 2025. Candidates contesting for the positions of Head Boy, Head Girl, Sports Captain, and Cultural Captain addressed the gathering, presenting their credentials and explaining why they were best suited for the leadership roles. These students aimed to gain the support of their peers ahead of the voting scheduled for 2nd May, 2025.

The nominees for the position of Head Boy from the Senior School included Hamdaan Khan representing Mt. Annapurna House, Darsh Agrawal from Mt. Dhaulagiri House, Ankit Thakur of Mt. Gaurishankar House, Yajat Dev Bhatta from Mt. Kanchanjanga House, Arpit Kumar Shah of Mt. Lhotse House, and Vaibhav Agrawal from Mt. Machhapuchhre House.

For the position of Head Girl, the candidates were Puja Agarwal representing Mt. Annapurna House, Malavika Rao from Mt. Dhaulagiri House, Aashwi Jalan from Mt. Gaurishankar House, Angel Bajaj of Mt. Kanchanjanga House, Paridhi Bagaria from Mt. Lhotse House, and Keshavi Somani from Mt. Machhapuchhre House.

The race for Sports Captain saw Sumit Kumar Sah from Mt. Annapurna House, Kritik Gnawali representing Mt. Dhaulagiri House, Bhavya Sharma of Mt. Gaurishankar House, Sambeg Thapa from Mt. Kanchanjanga House, Swadesh Thapa from Mt. Lhotse House, and Krish Gadiya of Mt. Machhapuchhre House taking part.

Similarly, the nominees for Cultural Captain included Tanya Agrawal from Mt. Annapurna House, Yukta Ghimire of Mt. Dhaulagiri House, Arifa Khatun from Mt. Gaurishankar House, Dristi Chopra from Mt. Kanchanjanga House, Moli Nivetia representing Mt. Lhotse House, and Shristi Jha from Mt. Machhapuchhre House. All these nominees are from Grade XII.

The Student Council at DAV School is part of an international educational practice that encourages leadership and responsibility among students. Throughout the campaign, candidates highlighted their plans to involve both teachers and students in various school initiatives, while also expressing their appreciation to the School Management and teaching staff for their continued support.

DAV School runs three separate student councils to cater to different age groups: the Senior School Student Council (Grades IX to XII), the Middle School Student Council (Grades V to VIII), and the Junior School Student Council (Grades I to IV).
