Debate Competition on the topic 'Corruption is Only Cause of Country Failure'

William Wordsworth English Club organized an English Debate Competition on the topic 'Corruption is the Only Cause of Country Failure' for Grade IX to XII students in Jetavan Hall on July 2.

The debate competition started with the introduction of contestants and then a moderator of debate, Banshika Motani explained the rules of debate.  

In brief, contestants were judged on the content, presentation skills, grammar (accent), relevant questions and answers. The judges were Mr. Bir Singh and Ms. Gauri Tamang.  The audience were from Grade IX F and G sections.

As per the results, Prerak Pathak from Grade IX 'B' won the first position followed by Snigdha Khadka- XII 'E', Kripa Poudel – X 'H' and Shradhya Manndhar – X 'B' won  the second, third and fourth position respectively.

The objective of debate competition was to develop argumentative skills according to Club In-charge Mr. Angel Tajpuria.
