
DAVSKVB Students Participate in International Yoga Day Celebration Organised by the Embassy of India

A total of 62 students from Grades IX and XI of DAVSKVB took part in the International Yoga Day Celebration organised by the Embassy of India at Kendriya Vidyalaya on June 13.
As part of the celebration, the students were introduced to basic yoga practices and were briefed on the significance of yoga in daily life. They were also guided on how yoga can serve as an effective tool to manage academic stress and enhance overall well-being.
In addition to yoga demonstrations, the event also placed special emphasis on the health benefits of millet consumption. Yoga professionals highlighted how increased millet production and its proper inclusion in daily diets can promote a healthier lifestyle. Each participant received a booklet detailing the importance of millets in human health.
One student representative from each school was invited to share their reflections on the programme. Representing DAVSKVB, Jiya Jha of Grade XI ‘A’ eloquently expressed her thoughts on behalf of her peers.
The event featured prominent yoga professionals from both India and Nepal and was attended by school officials and teachers from various institutions, who also found the session enriching and insightful.
DAVSKVB students were accompanied by Senior School Teachers Ms. Pratkshya Nepali and Ms. Ranju Shrestha, along with Sports Teacher Mr. Prabin Karki.
