DAV Teachers and Students Help ICAN Team 11 Clinch Indian Ambassador Cricket Cup, 2025

The Indian Citizen Association of Nepal Team 11 (ICAN Team 11), featuring a strong representation from DAV School, emerged victorious in the Indian Ambassador Cricket Cup 2025. The team was led by three experienced cricket coaches—Mr. Purnendu Ghosh, Head of the Physical Education Department at DAVSKVB School, along with Mr. Dilip Yadav and Mr. Shankar Poudel. They were joined by DAV alumnus Mr. Bhabya Sharma and two talented members of the DAV Students’ Cricket Team, Mr. Shreyash Agrawal and Mr. Ajay Khandelwal.
The tournament was held from 31st May to 8th June 2025 at the TU Cricket Ground and was organised by the Embassy of India, Lainchaur, Kathmandu. Teams representing the Foreign Ministry, the Corporate Sector, the Indian Embassy, the British Embassy, and the media fraternity competed alongside the ICAN team.
In an exciting final match, ICAN Team 11 secured the championship by defeating the Indian Embassy Team 11 with a commanding lead of 78 runs.
