
DAV School Won the Second Position in Inter-School Yogasana Competition

DAV School won second place in the 1st Inter-School Yogasana Competition, 2081. The event was organized by Rosemary Idol Boarding School, Tarkeshwor, Kathmandu. It took place on 29th January at the host school's premises. A total of 19 schools from Kathmandu Valley participated in the competition.
The students from DAV took part in three age groups: under-11, under-14, and under-17. They performed very well and won several individual awards. In the under-11 boys category, Shivam Yadav secured 1st place. In the under-14 boys category, Satish Gupta won 2nd place, while in the under-14 girls category, Navya Mohta also won 2nd place. In the under-17 boys category, Dev Gharti Magar secured 3rd place. In the under-17 girls category, Leona Shrestha earned 2nd place.
Because of these great performances, DAV School won the overall second position. They received the second place trophy and a token of appreciation. The winning students were also given medals and certificates to honour their efforts and skills in yogasana.
The competition was attended by Dr. Suryabhadur Karki from the Health Service (Yoga, Naturopathy, and Complementary Medicines) at the Nepal Yoga and Nature Cure Association, Nepal. Officials from Rosemary School were also present at the event.
DAV students were accompanied by yoga-sports teachers- Ms. Sunita Pachkoti and Mr. Tshring Lama.
